  • Sundays, May 15, 22, 29:  Wesley Woods Mother's Day Offering
  • Today, May 22:  Special time with Ed and Louise Nelson; covered dish luncheon following worship
  • Saturday, June 18:  We will have a bake sale at the opening of the Grower's Shed in Moreland.  This will start about 9:30 a.m. and run until early afternoon.  It will be a fundraiser for the building fund.  The Grower's Shed will be a local produce market sponsored by the Moreland Cultural Arts Alliance, which also sponsors the Puckett Station Festival.  We will also have a table selling plants and baked goods for the building fund at Puckett Station on July 2.  For information on either project, contact Winston Skinner.

When the Day of Pentecost had come, they were all gathered together in one place.
And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each of them.

  • Friday, April 29:  David Turner, great-grandson of Young John Allen, visited our church.
  • Tuesday, May 3:  Allen-Lee will offer a dessert bar for teachers and staff at Unity Elementary School in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week.  We will set up at 10:30 a.m. and be there until around 12:30 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet today. See Winston Skinner if you need to have food picked up at the church.
  • Thursday, May 5:  National Day of Prayer.  This year's theme is "Wake Up America", and the scripture is Isaiah 58:1a: "Shout it aloud, do not hold back.  Raise your voice like a trumpet." Michael will be one of those praying at the NDOP program on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Grantville City Hall. Everyone is invited!
  • Sunday, May 8:  Mother's Day!
