The First Methodist Church in Hogansville is again hosting Lenten lunches at 12 noon every Wednesday through March 23.
Today, Sunday, February 28: Housing and Homeless Offering Today, after worship service: Music practice for March 6th March 5: Clark Chapel UMW is hosting their annual fellowship breakfast and mission study facilitated by Mrs. Dorothy Orr with a focus on Created for Happiness. The event begins at 8 a.m. and will conclude by noon. Books for the study are available for $10, Contact Sandy Wood by February 17 if you plan to attend. March 6: The north Meriwether UMC connectional group will have a time of fellowship and worship at Clark Chapel UMC. A covered dish meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by worship at 6:30. Churches are asked to bring a display to share. March 18, 6 p.m., Luthersville Baptist Church: Spaghetti dinner to benefit ending domestic violence in Meriwether County; sponsored by Loaves and Fishes; donations accepted March 19, 3 p.m.: Easter egg hunt here at the church; please bring plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy or small toys to the church by 1:30 p.m. that day; refreshments will be served to participants |

Welcome and Announcements Opening Prayer O merciful Father, in compassion for your sinful children you sent your Son Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world. Grant us grace to feel and to lament our share of the evil that made it necessary for Him to suffer and die for our salvation. Help us by self-denial, prayer, and meditation to prepare our hearts for deeper penitence and a better life. And give us a true longing to be free from sin, through the deliverance won by Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen. A donation of $10,000 has been made to the building fund from the estate of Ralph and Elizabeth Parham. Ralph and Elizabeth were some of the most faithful members of Allen-Lee. They wanted the church to move forward and progress.
